Font - So I (20F) live with three roommates, one is my sister(21F), and the other two are a couple(29F and 30M). My sister has been a great roommate, the couple, not so much. They complain about how the house is a mess all the time and blame us. Never let us use anything because they hog it 24/7. Examples being the washer and dryer. I had to resort to going to my parents to get my clothes clean. We can't even cook food because the stove is covered in gunk 99% of the time. And they are total slob

Font - This started when my parents had gotten a new bed and gave me their old one. We had just gotten it in yesterday but this has been a fight with my roommates for a couple of weeks now. My apartment is super slow when it comes to getting things done. And our apartment comes furnished so had bed frames and everything.

Font - So I called the apartment two weeks ago to get the bed frame out of my room. They haven't shown up for it. Well it turns out that my frame could fit a queen size mattress(I was using a full before). So we could use the bed frame. So now the only thing that needed to be dealt with was my mattress. So I put it in the living room for that day because I was too tired to chunk it(I had the mattress since I was a child and half of it was completely collapsed). I was planning on chunking it the

Font - These were the same people who were pissed when I left anything in the living room, but they can leave anything in the living room and that's okay. They yelled at me that it better be out by the time they get back today. That's when I had an idea. I told them that a friend of mine wanted it but he can't come get it til Friday. So they have to deal with the mattress for a week. Then I will chunk it on Friday. They will have to deal with the mattress for a week, which I know will drive them

Font - TheGrumpyTrucker 21 hr. ago Personally, I'd start picking up anything they left out in the living room or kitchen and start chucking it. They want petty? Nope, I haven't seen your car keys or wallet.

Font - kcaskew 16 hr. ago I concur, this is how you get petty revenge. Leave things all the place and complain about every little thing they leave around. Complain about them using everything, etc.

Font - PrettyBlueFlower 6 hr. ago Naw, pick up everything of there's and put it in front of their bedroom door

Font - Ok_Resource_8530 · 3 hr. ago No. Put it all in a pile in the middle of living room. Take all their crap in kitchen and put on table. The next time you need the washer tell them and then take their stuff out. If you all PAY RENT YOU ARE ALL EQUAL. IF THEY ARE LAND LORDS go to courthouse and get a copy of renters rights and post on fridge.

Font - Sharp Coat3797 +2 - 21 hr. ago I am surprised. I woulda thunk that it is time for you and Sis find a new abode rather than put up with the slob couple that hog everything. Personal wellbeing and mental health being the reason to move.

Rectangle - Actual-Bet-4620 OP 20 hr. ago Gotta wait til the end of the lease. The state I'm in, it's extremely hard to get out of a lease and we only got a couple of months anyway.

Font - Philosemen69 +1 15 hr. ago Only a couple of months on the lease? You'd better check with your friend who wants the mattress. I heard his vehicle is going to break down this coming Thursday and will be in the shop for at least a week. There's a rumor that the day before he's supposed to get his vehicle out of the shop he's going to slip and fall, breaking a leg. He'll be in a cast for at least six weeks and then on crutches for a few more weeks after that. It seems your fictional friend is

Font - DynkoFromTheNorth +2.11 hr. ago I heard through the grapevine that this friend is not fictitious at all, but will show up with a cast and/or bandages and other totally real wounds and a wheelchair, if needed. And when push comes to shove... they don't need the mattress anymore.

Font - SailingCows 6 hr. ago Ugh. Im sorry. Bad house mate sitch is the worst. No chance for sit-downs about house-happiness? e.g. I need a clean kitchen to be happy (just focussing on what makes you happy versus airing grievances), it's tricky but maybe that helps. Hope it gets better.

Font - Actual-Bet-4620 OP 6 hr. ago Nah we are past the point of no return here. I've talked to them but they can't believe that they are the ones making the mess.

Font - tiggergramma +1 19 hr. ago Do they pay more rent than you and your sister? I'm trying to understand how you are allowing them to bully you. 37 Reply Share Actual-Bet-4620 OP 19 hr. ago We are living in a room for rent style apartment. They pay for two rooms. Me and my sister both have one each. And I try my best to fight back, but in the end, they are always here. My sister is never here. So it's two against one.

Font - Actual-Bet-4620 OP 20 hr. ago Plus they have a bunch of animals. They have 2 dogs, one cat, a bearded dragon, fish and turtles. This is a 1200 square ft apartment. And one of their dogs isn't well trained either. My sister has a cat and I have a snake. Both of which have been around since before almost all the animals they have. I have reported it to the apartment and still waiting on action.

Font - . Hari_om_tat_sat · 5 hr. ago Sounds like you guys are about to lose your security deposit. You might want to come up with a plan to prove to your landlord that your roommates caused the damage and not you & your sister. Start taking photos of your immaculate rooms, try to get in writing (text, email) where they admit they caused the damage (you could start with pet poop, maybe?, and their throwing away your dishes rather than wash them, etc). You should not be penalized any further for t
